I saw a Dodge Nitro on the road today and thought “Holy shit, I forgot those were a thing” What car has done that to you recently?

90s Plymouth Breeze.
It’s like, “Oh, wow, an old Strat-wait what...oh yeah, I forgot Plymouth made their own...”

There are other cars beside my BMW? Usually when I go out the roads are completely empty. I don’t see a single other car.

Buick Rainier. I saw street parked last week. The same thing for the GM Mini van was re-badged across their brands.

I was certain these things were only theoretical in nature, but then I saw one the other day and it was like spotting Bigfoot.

Chevrolet SSR. Same thing with seeing one happened to me. Not sure if I blocked it from memory on purpose or not. It’s kinda cool. Sorta.

This horrendous blobby thing. Always forget that Mercedes joined BMW in the SUV “coupe” race to the bottom.

I take it the Mirage isn’t selling in your neck of the woods? They’re startlingly common here.

No, our local Mitsubishi dealer ceased to exist and nobody buys them because.... Well nobody here wants to go as low as a Mirage.

I never see them, or maybe I do and just assume they’re Civics.

There was one on my street when I lived in Ottawa. Looks a little odd, but I like it.

I think they’re quite good looking, but I remember the reviews being quite mediocre.

That’s what I thought would happen here, but they’re everywhere.
Though I do remember we bought a lot of Daihatsu Charades in this state when they were available. Most of them are gone now, but even like ten years ago there were still more of them bouncing around than any reasonable person would expect. I also remember when I lived in Colorado Springs in the 90's that there were a ridiculous number of Suzuki Swift 4-door sedans around. We buy weird small cars here.

The face lifted TriBeCa. The first time I saw one I thought t was a new Chrysler maybe Pacifica replacement. Just imagine a Chrysler badge on that grille, doesn’t look too out of place does it?

I actually nearly got hit by a Nitro today that started to change into my lane without looking and my immediate reaction was the same as yours. I forgot they were a thing.

The funny thing about these facelifted ones is that they used a bunch of parts that had been designed for the Saab 9-6 that got as far as the prototype stage before it was canceled when GM pulled the plug on Saab. The headlights, tail lights and rear hatch were taken from was what going to be the Saab for sure.

I see enough of these to not forget they exist. Also, while I’m with you on it being stupid that they call it a “coupe”, I disagree with it being horrendous. I quite like the way they look in person.
